Abigail Anthony Chamungwana better known as Abigail Cham born on May 7, 2003 in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and youth advocate. Growing up in a musical family with a grandfather who directed an orchestra and a grandmother who sang in church she developed a love for music early. By age five, she learned piano, later mastering violin, guitar, drums, and flute.
Abigail first gained attention by posting covers online, showcasing her vocal talent. In 2022, she signed with Sony Music Africa, and in 2023, she released her debut EP “5”, featuring hit singles like Milele and Nani? Her music often in Swahili and English, and reflects themes of love, empowerment, and African identity.
Beyond music, she advocates for youth and mental health through initiatives like “The Talk With Abigail Chams” and her work with UNICEF. Recognized internationally, she continues to rise as one of Tanzania rising star.
