Jason Antonio Nembhard, professionally known as Jahson, is a British recording artist, singer, songwriter, and live performer of Jamaican heritage. Born and raised in South East London to Jamaican parents, he grew up immersed in reggae traditions while also absorbing the influence of soul and Motown. This multicultural musical background shaped a career centered on original songwriting, live performance, and interpretations of classic repertoire. Based in the United Kingdom, Jahson has built a catalogue that reflects both his Caribbean roots and the enduring influence of British popular music. Before establishing himself as a solo recording artist, Jahson spent five years performing with The Drifters under the leadership of Johnny Moore and with the support of the group's longtime manager and owner, Faye Treadwell. The experience provided extensive touring and stage performance opportunities while refining his vocal technique and professional musicianship. After leaving the group, he developed his own solo production, invested in live performance equipment, secured artist representation, and began recording original material. A significant stage in Jahson's recording career came through his collaboration with songwriter and producer Alan Glass. Jahson expanded his catalogue with recordings including "Rootsman Rebel" (2007), "Here I Come Again" (2011), "Reggae Gathering" (2015), "Legal Murderer," "I'm Dreaming," "Rasta Heart Free" (2020), and "Rasta Heart Free (In Dub)" (2021). His recordings frequently explore themes of love, faith, identity, resilience, and social awareness while maintaining a foundation in reggae performance.
