The shooting of two police officers in the rural Victorian town of Porepunkah has revived questions about the licensing and ownership of guns in Australia. Nearly three decades since the Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania, experts say we have 25 per cent more legal firearms than ever now registered in Australia, and advocates are concerned that our laws have been eroded.
