Raised in Kariobangi, her DJ father’s diverse music collection sparked her artistic curiosity. This foundation, paired with a transformative high school exchange program to Sweden, nurtured her love for storytelling and paved the way for her exploration of music, cinematography, and community-centered narratives. Liboi’s signature style, African Contemporary Music, fuses traditional chakacha rhythms and Swahili metaphorical artistry with modern sounds.
Her debut EP, "State of Being," delves into the human condition, with tracks like “Ukweli” exploring truth and “Mwanamke” highlighting women’s societal roles. Liboi’s socially conscious themes—spanning hope, love, mental health, and patriotism—resonate both locally and internationally.
She has captivated audiences at prestigious events, including the Marafiki Music Festival (Tanzania), Hakuna Matata Festival (Germany), and Kisima X Beneath the Baobabs Festival (Kenya).
